Peter Howarth (born 3 May 1960) is an English musician, who is the lead singer of the English band The Hollies. He also has a career as solo artist and used to be a backing singer. In 2014 he released the CD album Evermore featuring his acoustic version of "He Ain't Heavy - He's My Brother".
Also in 2006, the Hollies' first new studio album since 1983, Staying Power, was released by EMI featuring Peter Howarth on lead vocals. The group released a studio album, Then, Now, Always , in late March 2009, again featuring Peter Howarth on lead vocals.
I travelled extensively as a musician and singer both in the UK and abroad exploring a wide. range of musical styles. Whilst playing guitar in ‘Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ I worked with an old school chum Gordy Marshall. We went on to form the band Sahara. Our first album ‘Observation’ was released in 1986.
