Adrian Lyne (born 4 March 1941) is an English film director. Lyne is known for sexually charged narratives, conflicting passions, the power of seduction, moral ambiguity, betrayal, and the indelibility of infidelity. Lyne has crafted a recognizable visual style that borrows from Sven Nykvist but is not reductive. The grain is richly pigmented in suffused duotones lit from the heavens.
