- Hiking. Hiking is one of the most popular summer things to do and is the number one reason I love Whistler. There are dozens of hiking trails in town, ranging from beginner to expert.
- Joffre Lakes. Yes, I know that I just listed “go for a hike”, but I have to call out Joffre Lakes specifically since it’s such a popular hike. Some people come to Whistler just to do this hike.
- Camping. If you want to enjoy nature and save money on hotels, camping in Whistler is a great option. There are a few places to camp right in town, but the best places are a short drive away.
- Backcountry Camping. If you are an experienced hiker, don’t miss out on backcountry camping near Whistler. The scenery is some of the best in BC and I think the best way to experience it is to plan a backpacking trip to a backcountry campsite.
