Murphy Scholars have been awarded the WGA Chick Evans Scholarship since the start of the DMSF Caddie Program. DMSF helps Scholars secure a number of different summer opportunities including internships, service projects, study abroad experiences, and paid travel to academic summits and seminars.

The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund provides high school scholarship assistance and programmatic support to Chicagoland students, from under-resourced neighborhoods who demonstrate academic ability, strong character and financial need.
We identify 8th grade students who have exhibit academic ability, strong character, leadership potential and financial need. We help those students select quality high schools that can provide them with rigorous academic preparation, and offer the Murphy Scholars tuition assistance.
Annually, the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund holds the Summer Opportunities Fair for our 400+ Scholars to explore meaningful ways to spend their summers. Partner organizations join to share about academic, job/internship, and travel opportunities.
