The record label that their 7" single got released on was based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Dead Heat may have been based in or around that area, but that has yet to be verified.

May 22, 2023 · Photo courtesy of Dead Heat. It's been great seeing the Dead Heat's trajectory since I first covered them on my 12 Newer Hardcore Bands to Check Out back in 2017. The California crossover thrash unit has since toured throughout the world, helping to bring on a renaissance for the Oxnard/Ventura scene along the way.
Pulling from bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, Excel, Leeway, and Vio-lence, the band manages to create a harmonious blend of hardcore punk and thrash metal into one. The band went through a major lineup change in 2020 with both guitarists and Vocalist Chris Ramos being the only original members.
IE: There must be a lot of anticipation within the band these days with finally having shows booked again. Can you tell us what the feelings are like within the band knowing you have actual tour dates on the horizon and can you sort of go over the game plan for Dead Heat playing out live for the rest of 2021.
Dead Heat is a Los Angeles, California, USA-based crossover band that was founded in 2016. A self-titled demo appeared quickly and, as usual, someone in his mother’s basement called himself bla bla “Records” and reissued it. A split release for Mindforce and Dead Heat followed. There was a Summer Promo '18 with two tracks.
