The record label that their 7" single got released on was based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Dead Heat may have been based in or around that area, but that has yet to be verified.

The California crossover thrash unit has since toured throughout the world, helping to bring on a renaissance for the Oxnard/Ventura scene along the way.
