The park is always open - see visitor information. The sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's life work, comprising over 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron. It was installed mainly in the period 1940-1949, but is nevertheless a result of over 40 years of work.
On a mild, sunny day in June, this park (more accurately, "massive sculpture garden") teemed with locals -- couple, families, groups of elementary school children), making the people-watching almost as entertaining as Emanuel Vigelund's famous sculptures.

Frogner Park has Norway's biggest collection of roses; a total of 14,000 plants of 150 different species. Frogner Stadium and Frognerbadet open-air pool are located in the corner of the park that faces Majorstua.
