Our Juris Doctor (JD) is a versatile postgraduate programme, which gives students an intellectually enriching foundational education in law that also lets them study a wide range of challenging elective courses in the common law, Chinese law, comparative law, international law, and the law of trade, business and finance.

All applications must be submitted via the online application system. The system will open to accept applications for admission in September 2021 from (GMT +8) 12:00 noon, Monday, 16 November 2020 to (GMT +8) 12:00 noon, Friday, 22 January 2021.
Applicants will be asked to provide details of two academic referees, including their institutional email addresses, in the online application form. At least one of the referees should be able to comment knowledgeably on the applicant’s academic performance and on his/her ability to pursue postgraduate work in law.

The JD programme offers all the courses required for admission to the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws programme (PCLL). Graduates who have taken these courses will be eligible to apply for admission to the PCLL and eventually to practise either as a barrister or a solicitor in Hong Kong.
