Philippe [a] (born 15 April 1960) is King of the Belgians. He is the eldest child of King Albert II and Queen Paola. He succeeded his father upon the former’s abdication for health reasons on 21 July 2013. He married Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz in 1999, with whom he has four children.
On the National Day, which follows a few weeks later, Prince Philippe took the oath and became the seventh King of the Belgians. His daughter Elisabeth, who turned 22 on 25 October 2023, is now first in line to the throne.

On 21 July this year, it was exactly ten years since Filip took over from his father King Albert. Director Delvaulx was allowed to go where no camera had really ever been before.
