There are a few features I’d look out for that are specific to staying overnight in Niagara Falls, and in my opinion a clear winner.

Now, if you are exploring the US side of the river, you can see the Falls from Niagara Falls State Park. Like the Canadian side, there are upper walkways that allow you up-close views of the Falls. There are also lower walkways to get really close to the American Falls.
