Occitanie, region of southern France created in 2016 by the union of Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrenees. It is bounded by the regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, and Provence–Alpes–Cote d’Azur and by Spain, Andorra, and the Mediterranean Sea.
