Pat DeWine. Richard Patrick DeWine (born February 22, 1968) [citation needed] is an American attorney, politician and jurist who has served as a justice of the Ohio Supreme Court since 2017. He served as a justice of the 1st district of the Ohio District Courts of Appeals from 2013 to 2017 and as a politician in Hamilton County, Ohio.
Their daughter Rebecca died at the age of 22 on August 4, 1993; she was found to be driving 55 mph in a 25 mph zone in the rain, veered into the opposite lane, and crashed her car into an oncoming pickup truck that was driving 39 mph. One of their sons, Pat DeWine, is an Ohio Supreme Court Justice.
