Rawal Lake ( Urdu: جھیل راول) in Pakistan is an artificial reservoir that provides the water needs for the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Korang River along with some other small streams coming from Margalla Hills have been set to form this artificial lake which covers an area of 8.8 km 2.
Along with lush green park, a huge amusement park and biggest bird ivory of Pakistan, there is also a huge lake known as Rawal Lake. The lake covers an area of 106.25 square miles (275 km²) and is filled with water from Rawal Dam and other nearby streams from Margalla Hills.

Located on the outskirts of Islamabad northeast, Lake Rawal is the largest freshwater lake in Pakistan with beautiful natural landscapes. On the north shore of the lake, there is a large lake view park where you can row, fish, barbecue and so on.
Rawal Lake is an artificial lake located just 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) outside the city center of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is 700 ft (210 m) in height and nearly one kilometer (0.6 miles) wide at the widest point.
It is surrounded by flowering trees and has gardens, secluded picnic spots, and a walking path around the lake. It is possible to picnic, fish, and boat in the terraced garden and on the lake. Views of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, the Lake Margalla, and the Murree hills can be enjoyed from the highest point in the garden.
