Sagamihara is the third most populous city in Kanagawa Prefecture after Yokohama and Kawasaki. Housing and the general cost of living are a lot lower out here as it’s a good distance from both Tokyo and Yokohama – about 45 minutes by train from Shinjuku and 35 minutes to Yokohama.
