Seán Ó Murchú. Seán Ó Murchú (born John Joe Murphy; 1922 - 27 October 1982) was an Irish radio presenter. Born at Caltragh, Belclare, County Galway to Patrick Murphy and Mary Moran, Ó Murchú attended Castlehackett National School and Tuam CBS before joining the national broadcaster RTÉ as a continuity announcer in 1953.
