Tom of Finland is a beautiful and fascinating filmic portrait of Finnish artist Touko Laaksonen (Pekka Strang), and his journey to international success. In the film, Touko returns after the Continuation War to his somber and moralistic home of Finland, where homosexuality is illegal.
His work -- made famous by his signature 'Tom of Finland' -- became the emblem of a generation of men and fanned the flames of the worldwide gay revolution. Touko Laaksonen returns home after a harrowing and heroic experience serving his country in World War II.
