Once you log in, next to the Xanga logo on the upper left, there is "My Sites" hover over that. A drop-down menu appears. Select "Dashboard" and there should be an option to download your archive of posts. It will be in a zip file. Your photos can be recovered by selecting "Xanga Photos" on the left. Agree.

It will take you to a link where you can download all of your blogs in xml, which can be imported if you create a wordpress account (free). There is also a link to your photos. For me, most of them showed as broken links but if you click on them individually they will show up.
