Zeleni Venac (Serbian Cyrillic: Зелени венац) or colloquially Zelenjak (Serbian Cyrillic: Зелењак) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in the Belgrade's municipalities of Savski Venac (major part) and Stari Grad.
Being lovers of all things markets we were quite excited to visit Zeleni Venac (Green Wreath), it did not disappoint. This is the most central of Belgrade’s farmers’ markets and is the oldest green market within the city, celebrating its 170th year in operation in 2017, (WOW).

Sep 30, 2012 · Zeleni Venac (the green garland) is a large square, a major public transportation hub (towards New Belgrade and Zemun) and the most popular market in Belgrade. It is also the oldest green market still in function.
