At LBCC, Andrea has lead the elite vocal jazz ensemble "The Lyrical Workers," and an inclusive community Evening Vocal Jazz Choir. They have performed at many festivals, competitions, and conferences across the Western States.
Andrea began to sing jazz at 12, infulenced by her bass playing father. While in college, she sang in the downbeat award winning "Singcopation" under the direction of Bruce Rogers, and went on to sing with Doc Severson, the Boston Pops, John Williams, and the L.A. Philharmonic.
Jun 15, 2017 · Andrea is an ACDA, JEN, CAJ, and CMEA member, as well as being a veteran instructor. She has taught at Los Angeles College of Music, Musicians Institute, College of the Canyons, Cerritos College, Fullerton Union High School, and is now the Director of Jazz Vocal Studies at Long Beach City College.
