Skansen w Maurzycach is a ethnographic park depicting village life in the 19th century. The park is comprised of old buildings, some quite beautiful, reflecting Poland's culture and heritage. In addition to residences, we saw farm buildings, a wooden windmill, a church, and farming equipment.

It is the oldest and largest open air museum (the Swedish word skansen is used in Poland to name such places) in Poland (there are older such places within todays borders, but they were established in places that didn't belong to Poland before WWII), set up just after WWII.

It was established in 1958 by Aleksander Rybicki and contains 200 buildings which have been relocated from different areas of Sanok Land ( Low Beskids, Pogórze Bukowskie, Doły Jasielsko Sanockie ). The Sanok museum shows 19th and early 20th century life in this area of Poland.
