As of 2017, the 12th district contained 806,551 people and had a median income of $67,703. It consists of the western half of Tarrant County, as well as most of Parker County.

The 12th Congressional District is located in North Texas and includes the western half of Tarrant County and most of Parker County. The region was settled in 1849 when a U.S. Army outpost was established on the Trinity River and named for the Army commander in the region, General William Worth.
