Book 1: Fun, exciting, brilliant. Book 2: If you've seen season 2 this will drag on a little bit (imo) but still worth it as there's a few scenes in it that were left out of the show. Still a good book regardless. Book 3: HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. Book 4: There are mixed opinions on this.
Enter Viserion, who tangles with Drogon ridden by Dany. Their battle in the sky is so close quarters that neither can land a breath blow and is fought tooth and claw. Finally, Viserion succeeds with an ice blast on Drogon's wings and he sacrifices his safety to catch a falling Dany, landing on his back and having his frozen wings break as he lands.

The rise and fall of A song of ice and fire. Such an amazing fantasy series that has the unfortunate honor of being called incomplete. Many say it will remain so. This book series gave rise to one of the best shows that swept the world (well when it followed the books). But now this once seemingly magical series has been forgotten.
spoilers. I did a little math. George R. R. Martin is 73 years old. His a song of ice and fire books were realeased from 1996 until today. His longest time to release a book was book 5 (I haven't taken book 6 because it is not released).
A Song Of Ice And Fire - Thoughts and Opinions I finally did it. Being the slow reader I am, it took a good chunk of an year to finish this mammoth series (for me it is), and I can say - it was totally worth it.
