John W. Hansbury, Esq., served as OCRA’s Board Chair for 10 years and remains active on OCRA’s Executive Committee as an Emeritus member. His late wife, the actress, Madeline Kahn, died in 1999 from ovarian cancer.

She underwent treatment, continued to work on Cosby, and married John Hansbury in summer 1999. However, the disease spread rapidly, and she died on December 3, 1999, at age 57. She was cremated on December 6, at Garden State Crematory in North Bergen, New Jersey.
