Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLC is titled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and will be split into two parts: The Teal Mask, which releases September 13, 2023, and The Indigo Disc, which is set to release in Winter 2023. Both parts of the DLC will feature a new story that expands on your adventures in the Paldea region with all-new areas to explore, Pokemon to catch, and trainers to battle.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's first DLC part, officially titled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask released on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

In The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask, your adventure continues in the land of Kitakami as you take part in a school trip with the neighboring Blueberry Academy. Ms. Briar, one of the teachers at Blueberry Academy, will supervise your school trip, and your home base will be located in Mossui Town.

You'll also meet and work with two siblings that study at Blueberry Academy - Carmine and her younger brother, Kieran.

In Part 1: The Teal Mask, you'll be able to participate in a couple of new activities. The first activity is called Ogre Oustin' which requires you to ride around and pop ogre-shaped balloons in order to collect berries and rack up a high score. This minigame can be played with up to three other players online or via local play.

You'll receive Mochi as a reward, which can be used to increase the base stats of your Pokemon. You'll also have the opportunity to receive a Fresh-Start Mochi which will reset a Pokemon's base stats to zero so you can level them to your liking.

You'll also meet a young photographer named Perrin who has traveled to Kitakami to take photographs of specific Pokemon.

You'll be able to participate in a Pokemon Snap-esque minigame that sees you exploring The Timeless Woods area in search of rare and mysterious Pokemon to photograph.
