Aug 1, 2020 · Replaced battery now 2014 silverado wont start. About a week ago I left my key in the ignition of my 2014 silverado 5.3l and woke up to a dead battery. Neighbor jumped me with his truck and the battery seemed to charge a bit. I had a few weak starts and then dead enough to not start.

Will not overheat when sitting at idle but will overheat under load conditions like pulling an incline. First message is that AC has been turned off due to engine overheat condition.

To remove it, unbolt the bracket holding the battery to the truck. Once this is removed, you can pull up on the handles of the battery case to lift it out.
