From retired plant breeder Dr. Ying Doon Moy of the San Antonio Botanical Garden developed this hybrid (probably Hedychium flavum x coccineum) with white paint-like speckles covering the otherwise green foliage.
Dr. Moy Ginger Lily is an herbaceous perennial with a rigidly upright and towering form. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition.
