Lynda Carter was crowned Miss World USA in 1972. She was also voted as ‘The Most Beautiful Woman in the World’ by the International Academy of Beauty and the British Press Organization in 1978. She won an award for being the Superest Superhero on the Second Annual TV Land Awards in 2004.
In the same year, Linda participated in a local beauty pageant and won, earning the titles of "Miss Arizona" and later "Miss USA." As the representative of the USA in the Miss World competition, Carter made it to the semifinals.
