In the 1890s, the school changed its name again to the Ethical Culture School (in reflection of its relationship to the Society for Ethical Culture, also founded by Adler) and began charging tuition. In 1904, the school moved to a newly constructed building at 33 Central Park West, adjacent to the Society for Ethical Culture.
