McMansion & Wife is the third episode of Season 35 of The Simpsons, originally produced for Season 34.
When a new neighbor shower him with kindness, Homer thinks he’s being tricked into buying a sports car at the dealership where the neighbor works—but the truth turns out to be even more sinister; Lisa neutralizes Nelson after he goes on a bullying spree.
The Simpson family take a gift basket round to their new neighbors, As it turns out, one of the neighbors sells sports cars, just like the one Homer had just fantasized about and Marge and the female neighbor go to get a massage and talk.
At Springfield Elementary School, the children watch a video on anti-bullying. Bart tries talking to Nelson to stop bullying, but wedgies him. Lisa tells Bart that she can help him defeat Nelson. Meanwhile, Homer and the new neighbor eat ice cream and he reassure Homer that he isn’t trying to sell him a car. He then takes Homer out to drive a Lamborghini and Homer agrees to be the neighbor's friend.
Homer and Marge begin doing activities with the neighbors. The next Morning, Homer and Marge wake up to builders doing renovations to their neighbors house, so they go to talk to the man in charge, but he cannot speak English and Marge tells Homer that he fell for a scam. Back at Springfield Elementary, Bart walks in via the kindergarten entrance, but gets stopped by the preschoolers. Lisa tells Bart that it’s safe to walk in the normal way and that she uploaded embarrassing videos online, including one about a hummingbird. Nelson agrees he is beaten and hands Bart his vest, calling him his master.
Homer complains to the neighbor about being scammed and Gil almost gets a sale on a car of his own, but fails because he doesn’t have a pen. The neighbor tells Homer that the renovations will be continuing, but agrees to reduce the noise and offers Homer to use one of his cars until the renovations have stopped and suggests taking Marge out in it, so that night, Homer takes Marge out in the car and the pair start making out, grossing out the other couples. Bart and Lisa are now untouchable at school and attempt to control Nelson further, but Lisa’s laptop freezes, and Nelson tells them that he has Hubert Wong working for him and Nelson continues bullying.
Homer and Marge realize that the neighbors Mansion is blocking out their sunlight. In the school playground, Lisa and Hubert look as if they are about to battle, before Lisa realizes it wouldn’t look good on a college essay and the two stop. Nelson and Bart go and play on the seesaw. Homer and Marge continue complaining about the neighbors and Lisa and Hubert tell them that their house is on the site where Jebediah Springfield founded the town and therefore the renovations are not permitted. Homer goes and tells the neighbor that he isn’t a true friend and loses him all his business and goes home with Marge in their old car, which breaks down and they get out and push the car.
As closing credits roll in, the Simpson house museum has taken place about Springfield and the Simpsons that people are visiting in the future.
