    Early life

In high school, one of her parents was married to Mickey Fox's resulting in them being step-siblings. Even after their parents split, they remained close. While Sharon joined the Edgewater fire department, Mickey went on to join the sheriff's department. At some point in time, she married Vince and raised a family, a son and a daughter, all the while fighting fires to protect the town she so dearly cares about. It wasn't until Mickey arrested Bode for illegal activity that she and Sharon became estranged.

    Bode's return

Sharon attends a board meeting in which Vince shares his proposal for station 42 getting a new bulldozer. However, the committee is reluctant to shed the expense, with Sharon reminding Vince that he and Glen Ellen share a dozer, but it is 45 minutes away, he retorts. Vince reminds them of the Hanley fire, which wiped out 56,000 acres, destroyed 84 homes, and claimed 19 lives, including two firefighters. Sharon returns home later that day and informs Vince that the board voted against the dozer because they didn't believe he did his due diligence looking for a used one. While Sharon agrees with him, she reminds him that they have 473 Cal Fire stations to manage and recommends he look for a used dozer. Vince then reveals he stopped by the cemetery to talk to Riley for a bit. He also heard Eve and Jake talking about needing to move on after her death, which Vince believes they should, but there's no moving in for him and Sharon. Sharon arrives on scene of the Buckeye fire and informs Vince that help is on the way. Worried about Harrison Ridge, Vince tells her that he sent Eve and Jake to get eyes on the fire, because if the fire reaches the Miller Canyon, it will rip right into town. Fearful that Vince was right and that the dozer won't arrive in time, Sharon believes that they should begin evacuation and also decides to make their stand at Old Creek Road to prevent the fire from reaching town. By the night's end, the flames seem to be calming. After today's fire, Sharon assures Vince that she could pull some strings to get him a dozer. She then heads to the hospital to check on Eve and Jake, who inform her that Bode is back. Sharon finds her son and tearfully embraces him. Sharon and Vince discuss the best course of action regarding Bode. When Vince points out his rogue behavior and inability to follow simple commands, Bode retorts that he followed one of his father's orders pretty well. Before Sharon can probe, Manny interrupts to inform them that Bode's fate is ultimately in his hands. Sharon questions Vince about the order of his that Bode followed, but he is reluctant to tell her. So she leaves irritated, telling him to give her a call when he's ready to talk. The news of Bode's return spreads like wildfire. While getting acquainted with Aydan, Vince arrives at Smokey's Tavern, at which point, Sharon reveals that Bode legally changed his last name to hide from them. Before they can better discuss Bode's return, they receive a call of vegetation fire caused by incoming dry lightning storms. Sharon mans the station while the crews split up to handle multiple fires. With lightning fires all over the county, her resources are stretched. Until they can send backup, she instructs Manny to shelter the civilians after lightning strikes a tree near the rec center. She then calls Vince and instructs him to get to the rec center as soon as possible. Fortunately, he does arrive in time and manages to subdue the fire. Afterward, the crew goes to Smokey's to celebrate. There, Vince reveals to Sharon that he ordered Bode to leave and never come back after Riley died. Because of Vince, they lost two kids in one night. But now Bode's back, and Sharon refuses to let him be taken away again. Vince also reveals that Bode punched Jake at Buckeye, and that if Jake tells Manny, Bode will be sent away. Sharon tells Vince that while she loves him and will be home tonight, and that someday, she'll have to find a way to forgive him for this. Sharon then finds Manny, who intends to transfer Bode to another camp. Hoping to reason with Manny, Sharon reveals that she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Being sick didn't bother her a couple of days ago, given that she'd lost both her kids. She figured she'd live out the rest of her days with a job and husband she loved until her time came, but now that Bode's back, all she's asking is that he allow her son to stay.
