Filming Wetherby Town Hall masquerading as the Albatross Theatre for the filming of Get Santa, February 2014. The shooting of the film began on 16 January 2014, in London and Yorkshire.
The film takes place in the run up to Christmas and follows 9-year-old Tom and his parolee father, Steve (Rafe Spall) as they try and get the eponymous Santa out of a world of trouble.
Get Santa: Directed by Christopher Smith. With Jim Broadbent, Rafe Spall, Kit Connor, Ewen Bremner. After Santa Claus is arrested and jailed, a recently paroled prisoner and his young son attempt to save Christmas before it's too late.

Days before Christmas, reindeers are found running loose through the streets of London. 9-year-old TOM (played by newcomer Kit Connor) hears rustling outside his house and is astonished to discover Santa ( Jim Broadbent) in the garden shed.
Jim Broadbent is a great Santa for the circumstances of the film. He's jolly and looks the part but there is a twinkle in his eye that suggests Santa is in on the jokes while in prison. The rag tag group of prisoners and parolees that end up helping Mr. Claus are a nice and original change.
