  5. CHECK OUT OUR ADOPTABLES. Stop the Suffering (STS) is a Columbus, Ohio based nonprofit that rescues dogs and cats from high kill shelters, primarily in Ohio, and to transport them to safety. We operate a dog adoption program and match dogs to their forever home. We also raise funds for veterinary care, transportation and food for rescued animals.
