You can find a variety of different tabs on your Dashboard that you can scroll for different experiences. You can choose from: Following – The Dashboard you know and love, featuring posts from the blogs you follow, and any extras you may have included in your Dashboard preferences.
On web, you can find your Dashboard Preferences at tumblr.com/settings/dashboard. On mobile, tap the account icon, then tap “General settings” (iOS) or “Account settings” (Android) then tap “Dashboard preferences”. You can read about every option found here in this Help Center article.

Best Stuff First. The “Best Stuff First” setting gives you an algorithmic “Following” tab on your dashboard. Your “Following” tab will show you the stuff Tumblr thinks you’ll like, rather than just the newest content.
To get to Preferences, click the gear wheel icon in the top, right-hand area of your Dashboard or visit https://tumblr.com/preferences. This is where you can edit your email address, change your password, choose your post editor, and make changes to how your Dashboard displays things.
All Tumblr blogs can be viewed without leaving the dashboard using the blog view. To view a blog, click on an avatar and view it in the center of the screen. To return to the dashboard, click the X at the top of the screen.
