George William Meyer (January 1, 1884 – August 28, 1959) was an American Tin Pan Alley songwriter. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts , in 1884. He graduated from Roxbury High School , and began working in accountancy for Boston department stores, before moving to New York City in his mid-20s.
George Meyer was born in Pennsylvania in 1957 and grew up in Tuscon, AZ. After graduating from Harvard in 1978, he applied to medical school, was accepted, but never enrolled. Midway through his sophomore year at Harvard, he joined the writing staff of the Lampoon where he established many long-term relationships.
