Yes you had Cagney, Bogart, Raft and even throw in Alan Ladd but Robinson is/was the poster child of the Gangster image. It was in his looks mannerisms the sound of his voice the way he talked and moved.

  7. I haven't watched many younger Edward G. Robinson (gangster) movies. However, I am familiar with that more popular EGR. Still, I've better appreciated his older movies (as a mature man). For me his performances are more defined, more interesting, more than a pigeon hole.
