See University of California policy. To avoid conflicting with the Jewish High Holy Days, instruction for the 2020-21 academic year will begin October 1, one week later than usual. To accommodate this later start date, the Winter holiday will be two weeks only: December 21 – January 3, 2021. Winter instruction will begin January 4, 2021.

Faculty and Staff Features. All classes that are eligible to use the Waitlist System will automatically default to that option. Departmental Schedule of Classes (SOC) Coordinators can access the waitlist option in the Electronic Schedule of Classes (ESOC). The default size of a waitlist is 15 percent of the maximum capacity of the class section.
