And what happened next was a very surprising, yet welcome turn. Things in the Harry Potter universe got serious. Yes, the death of Cedric and the locked wand scene with Voldemort from The Goblet of Fire were serious, but those moments also purposefully lacked the level of gravity that we're greeted with right up front with the Order of the Phoenix.
