Granville Island is an excellent shopping district to venture through and simply spend the entire day explore the streets and shops. You can bus in, park for the day, or book a room at the Granville Island Hotel and plan to see everything on this peculiar little peninsula.
Given the amount of tasters you get, the tour is fairly good value for money, and a great thing to do on Granville Island if you’re just visiting for a day. Catch an improv show. Another Granville Island must-do is catching a show at Vancouver’s famous Improv Centre. We cannot explain to you how much we love coming here.
So…is Granville Island worth visiting? The consensus of this post is that you abso-freaking-lutely need to visit Granville Island in Vancouver. In fact, I recommend dedicating a whole day there because there is so much to see and do beyond the Public Market.
It’s a nearby area for those living or staying in Vancouver accommodation downtown, and – if you ask us – you should definitely spend an afternoon (even a whole day!) on the Island. There’s plenty of varied attractions that will ensure a fun day.
