The bios files are inside those compressed folders. Unzip them. Definitely don’t need to do all of them though as I think that’s like every possible version of the PS2 bios. Pasting files alone won't work. Goto pcsx2 settings and then goto bios option and select the latest bios from there. Pcsx2 won't select the bios automatically.
I just want to play all the silent hill games and resident evil and such. PCSX2. Get PCSX2. Do not get the stable version which is old, I think version 1.6. Get the nightly release, which is around version 1.7. The difference in performance is day and night. Slow, laggy, and unplayable games runs smoothly on the nightly build.

May 5, 2024 · The method proposed by Ryccardo is what I would recommend as well, that should work fine. You don't need a memory card to do this (that would be FMCB), you only need the HDD (i.e. FHDB). You can read more about FMCB and FHDB here. I lost my only memory card (I still have it, I just don't know where,) so this is very helpful. Thank you.
