The Good Life (known as Good Neighbors in the United States) is a British sitcom, produced by BBC television. It ran from 4 April 1975 to 10 June 1978 on BBC 1 and was written by Bob Larbey and John Esmonde.
The Good Life: With Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Penelope Keith, Paul Eddington. Tom Good quits the rat race, and with wife Barbara turns the garden of their Surbiton house into a smallholding.

Season 1. Tom and Barbara Good, a middle class suburban couple, decide to turn their Surbiton home into a self-sufficient allotment. This creates friction with their best friends and next-door neighbors, the Leadbetters.
There were four series, each of seven episodes, and two specials. All thirty episodes are 30 minutes long. Since the deaths of Paul Eddington and Richard Briers on 4 November 1995 and 17 February 2013 respectively, Penelope Keith and Felicity Kendal are the two surviving cast members.
