The UCSD cog sci department is amazing (I’m currently in it) and is ideal if you’re going into UI/UX. If you want more of a CS career def go to Irvine. At least speaking from a UCSD perspective, here’s somethings you should know: UCSD is in La Jolla so we’re not really in the city but it’s easy to get there.

May 22, 2024 · D24 just got off the UCI waitlist today (psychology). If she’d gotten in a month or so ago I think she would have accepted in a heartbeat. But she’s since become super excited about the school she committed to, already connected with a roommate, and has her heart fully set on it - so she decided to pass on UCI.
May 6, 2024 · Information for Non-ICS Majors. Majors outside the School of ICS may begin enrolling in ICS courses on September 19th, 2024 at 12:00pm. Quantitative Economics Juniors and Seniors will be able to enroll in STATS 120A from 5/31/24 until 9:00am, 6/5/24. Computer Engineering majors will be able to enroll in ICS 6D starting 9/3/24, at 12:00pm.
