5 days ago · If the paint on the base is in a reasonably sound condition with only minor areas that need repair my preferred approach is to leave the existing texture in place and spray over it with a satin black automotive acrylic lacquer. Test a small area first to ensure adhesion of the new paint.

He was impressed at how it was 'responding' to the tuning and action regulation, so he did some extra stuff. He really liked how it was sounding and played 'Georgia on my mind', A Doo Wop chord progression that sounded quite nice, and others!
3 days ago · I've seen recommendations for Matt Cunitz (510-527-2067) at Vintage Keyboard Repair in Berkeley for Wurli, Rhodes, and other vintage keyboards. No personal experience with him (I'm on East Coast), but he has a good reputation. I think he does house calls in the Bay Area.
We've just got a secondhand Wurlitzer WD450. It's in great condition and we're very happy with it. It needs a new battery, but I'm sure we can figure that out. Most stuff not too hard to figure out, but for more complicated stuff like recording and editing presets a manual would be great.

May 15, 2024 · I own a Wurlitzer 4300D that I got cheap, but not long after getting it the amp died. Troubleshooting shows that there is a short in the amp killing the transistors for the lower board.
