    Fred Golan is a writer and executive producer for Justified. Golan joined the crew as a co-executive producer and writer for the first season. He was promoted to executive producer for the second season. Golan had previously worked with show runner Graham Yost on the series Raines and Boomtown.

    Golan began his career as a writer for Swamp Thing in 1992, scripting two episodes for the series. He next worked as a writer for The Big Easy in 1996, writing five episodes for the show. In 1998 he wrote an episode of Ghost Stories entitled "Parting Shot". In fall 1998 he was hired as a story editor for Brimstone and wrote an episode of the show. In 2000 he wrote an episode of The Others. In fall 2000 he was hired as a co-producer and writer for Roswell High.

    In 2002 he joined the crew of Boomtown as a producer and writer for the first season. He returned for the second season in 2003 and was promoted to supervising producer. The show was created by Justified show runner Graham Yost.

    In 2005 he worked as a consulting producer on short lived Law and Order spin-off Trial by Jury. In 2007 he re-teamed with Yost as a co-executive producer for Raines. The show was cancelled before completing its first season. In 2008 he wrote an episode for the US remake of Eleventh Hour.

He co-wrote the episode "The Hammer" with Chris Provenzano and wrote the season finale "Bulletville". He was promoted to executive producer for the second season in 2011. He again wrote the season finale "Bloody Harlan". Also in 2011 he wrote an episode of Falling Skies.
