Sep 14, 2018 · Horace Lacey taught biology with gusto at Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester when I was in the sixth form there during the 1940s. His enthusiasm for his subject spilled over. He was a stocky man who walked like a gamecock with his head turned to one side, and he had wiry, frizzy hair.
All three boys attended Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys, now Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College, which backs onto the University meaning they had a very short walk to school each day. Two other children lived in College House at this time.
