Kiran Rao (born 7 November 1973) is an Indian film producer, screenwriter, and director who works in Hindi cinema. In 2016, Rao co-founded Paani Foundation, a non-profit organisation working towards the mission of fighting drought in Maharashtra. She is the board member of Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image.
Kiran Rao is the second wife of Aamir Khan. After suffering a couple of miscarriages, the couple had a son born via surrogate on December 1, 2011. Since 2001, she has been assisting in prominent movies.

Kiran Rao is an Indian film producer, writer, and director, best known for being the ex-wife of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. She was born on 7 November 1973 into a middle-class family to C R Rao and Uma Rao in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India but grew up in Kolkata.
