  1. Coquina Beach is a beautiful beach with wide expansive white sand and beautiful auqua blue water. There is a Cafe on this beach with restrooms accessable outside. They also have a very nice Farmer's Market every Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm. Well worth going to, plus you can enjoy the Beach while shopping at the Market.

  2. Unlike Bean Point, Coquina Beach has a bit more going on and even offers convenient amenities including parking, restrooms, changing stations, picnic tables, and so much more. Parking is available along 6th Street South, or at the main entrance to Coquina Beach. One of the biggest draws of Coquina Beach is the ample amenities and things to do.

  3. Nov 2020. Coquina beach is big with plenty of public parking. The beach is nice for its view. More for teens, college kids and folks that like to litter , there are better beach locations further up Anna Maria. Read more.

Make sure to catch a Coquina Beach sunset!

Since I was 6, I would visit Florida anywhere from several weeks to even a whole month with my grandfather. And every time we would visit, Coquina Beach would be the place we’d visit most (literally every single morning and sometimes around sunset, on the same day). Some of my most treasured family and nature memories come from this spot. Sadly, my...

Aside from my personal reasons for loving Coquina Beach, here’s everything else you need to know about this place:

Obviously most people who visit this area do it to explore the beach itself. The truth is that Coquina Beach is very long and there are many places you can stay at there. I’ve included a map with the exact spot I’d always go to during my endless visits to it. This is usually where I see the least crowds (I am often the only one in this area for mos...

Anna Maria Island is the long island on which you will find Coquina Beach. In addition to that though, there are several other beaches if you head further north: 1. Bradenton Beach (next door to Coquina Beach). I used to mistake it for Coquina Beach. 2. Holmes Beach (north after Bradenton Beach). There are also 2 other beaches further north but asi...

Now I know most people will probably think of sharks when I say wildlife, but as far as I know, Coquina Beach has had very few sightings over all the years I’ve been there. You may often find 5 types of sea animals in Coquina Beach: 1. Dolphins (I’ve seen them many times). 2. Stingrays (I’ve even seen a giant manta ray one or twice). 3. Many differ...

It’s obviously true that you will have beautiful sunsets in just about any beach in Florida, but with all the other things I have come to enjoy about this spot, adding an unforgettable sunset only makes it better. Before camera phones, I used to take pictures with old school cameras and I still have a shoe box filled with old pictures of sunsets I ...

Here are just some of the many popular water spots you can try in and around Coquina Beach and the greater Anna Maria Island: 1. Jet skiing (I’ve done it many times in Coquina Beach). 2. Kayaking (tried that a few times, it was great). 3. Paddle boarding (I did that at the bay around Coquina Beach, it was awesome). 4. Scuba diving. 5. Fishing. 6. P...

Now aside from exploring Coquina Beach through the many water sports that are available, I highly recommend checking out the bay which is on the eastern side of Anna Maria Island! Just being able to ride jet skis, kayaks and boats would be boring if it was in open water and there was nothing to see. Thankfully, Coquina Beach and the bay next to it ...

Leffis Keyis a park right on the other end of the beach, which has great, short scenic walks and great views of the bay. You can also see a lot of wildlife, ranging from crabs, different types of birds and other sea life. I’ve been to this small park a few times and there is a boardwalk around the area but there are some trails you can check out to...

  4. Aug 2012 • Family. Coquina beach is probably one of the best beaches in north carolina. The parking is free and plentiful because it never gets to over crowded. The changing area is separate from the bathrooms. The showers are in center outside which make them separate from both the bathrooms and the changing area.
