Ward Walrath Kimball(March 4, 1914 – July 8, 2002) was an American animatoremployed by Walt Disney Animation Studios. He was part of Walt Disney's main team of animators, known collectively as Disney's Nine Old Men. His films have been honored with two Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film.
Ward Kimball (1914-2002) was a prominent Disney animator who designed Jiminy Cricket and Mickey Mouse. He also formed a jazz band, collected trains, and worked on EPCOT and other projects.

Ward Kimball was profiled by the Academy Award-winning producer Jerry Fairbanks in his Paramount Pictures film short series Unusual Occupations. This 35mm Magnacolor film short was released theatrically in 1944 and focused on Kimball's backyard railroad and full-sized locomotive. Kimball was also a jazz trombonist.
