Will Vinton. William Gale Vinton (November 17, 1947 – October 4, 2018) [1] was an American animator and filmmaker. Vinton was best known for his Claymation work, alongside creating iconic characters such as The California Raisins. He won an Oscar for his work [2] alongside several Emmy Awards and Clio Awards for his studio's work.
Will Vinton was a pioneer of claymation, a stop-motion animation technique using clay figures. He created and directed many award-winning shorts and features, such as Closed Mondays, Return to Oz and The Adventures of Mark Twain.
