This is a great day trip for you & younger kids and older. You can buy fish food and walk around and feed the fish. Nice outdoor area to spend some time in the fresh air. Near Leigh High Valley hospital.

The fish hatchery, actually the Li'l Lehigh Trout Nursery, is great for kids--free admission, free parking, and low-priced fish food. In Allentown's Lehigh Parkway and adjacent to an excellent trout stream, the fish hatchery and surrounding areas are great for walking, fishing (not in the hatchery, obviously), and just relaxing.

Fun place to take young kids to see 1000 fish at the Allentown Fish Hatchery. While you’re there take a hike down the scenic Little Lehigh where you’ll probably see some anglers along the way. If you walk about a 1/2 mile, you’ll come across an historic covered bridge.
