Collin County History Museum. Located just one block east of McKinney’s historic downtown square, this museum in the historic post office building is one of McKinney’s best-kept secrets. The museum is open year-round, Thursday through Saturday, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Family research and genealogy projects are welcome.
Housed in the historic 1911 Federal Building that was once the Post office, the Collin County History Museum is a great place to discover historical artifacts, photographs, documents, maps, archival newspapers, and records.
