Apr 1, 2022 · While Near Dark eventually adheres to traditional lives, it also examines and provides alternatives to the existing order. “Near Dark,” an unusual and gory road movie and one of my favorite cult movies, is an earlier effort of Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow. The plot blends romance, crime, violence, thriller, and horror, which is a great film.
